Meet your Keepers, Barry 

and Prity! Having recently relocated to Nova Scotia from Wasaga Beach, Ontario,  they are excited to embrace and prolong the outstanding Heritage Quay experience. Drawn to the water, this historic home in Pictou has become their calling. It is with pleasure that they take the baton for this beautifully restored landmark to call home and share with others. Desirous to maintain the mission of the former innkeepers, they look forward to building on the reputation, restoration and recreation of the property. They expect to assimilate quickly into the community, get to know their neighbours and involve local businesses to enhance the overall Pictou experience. Both successful entrepreneurs from the hospitality and cleaning industries makes them the perfect couple to welcome and host new arrivals and returning patrons to Heritage Quay. They are anxious to greet, serve and get to know you in the near future.

    The Heritage Kitchen is always brimming with home-baked goodness. Guests receive an individually prepared full breakfast each morning from locally sourced ingredients, accompanied by fruits of the season and great coffee. Breakfasts can be made to-go or add a personalized picnic basket for local day-tripping. Peak season guests are invited to Living Room cocktails with an assortment of charcuterie fare in the afternoon. From food to gifts to experiences, we love to celebrate all the local talent and treasures our 

County has to offer!

Aside from complimentary breakfasts, Heritage Quay offers many amenities to ensure a leisurely and most memorable stay. Borrow a bike or umbrella and explore downtown. Take advantage of the newly renovated common areas designed for reading, playing games or puzzles, or simply enjoying the coastal view from one of many stately windows. In warmer months, guests can dine outdoors on the large back deck overlooking the garden or spend evenings gazing up at Nova Scotia’s starry North Shore sky by a blazing campfire. There is also a multi-purpose room on-site, ideal for corporate training, meetings, strategy sessions, and more. Catering available on request. 

 Ideally situated within walking distance from a quaint and colourful waterfront downtown with exemplary local shops, Pictou has commonly been called the gateway to Nova Scotia because of its 10-minute proximity to the PEI Ferry, the well-known replica of The Ship Hector, the natural phenomenon Tidal Bore, countless trails and beaches, and home of the world’s largest Lobster Carnival, to name a few. The riches of Pictou County draw in tens of thousands of tourists annually.
